{"id":17,"date":"2017-12-18T14:12:46","date_gmt":"2017-12-18T19:12:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/box5145.temp.domains\/~actongar\/?page_id=17"},"modified":"2025-11-21T17:33:20","modified_gmt":"2025-11-21T22:33:20","slug":"plant-sale","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.actongardenclub.org\/staging\/5475\/plant-sale\/","title":{"rendered":"Plant Sale"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 46%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The Acton Garden Club holds its <strong>Annual Plant Sale<\/strong> on the third Saturday, in <strong>May each<\/strong> <strong>year,&nbsp;from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm<\/strong> rain or shine on the grounds of the \u201cRed House\u201d at 468 Main Street, Acton, MA.<\/p>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"546\" height=\"404\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.actongardenclub.org\/staging\/5475\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/plantsale_2501.gif?resize=546%2C404\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1982 size-full\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>We recommend customers come early for the best selections of Annuals,\u00a0Perennials, Native Plants, House Plants and locally grown herbs, vegetables, shrubs, and trees.<\/p>\n<p>We emphasize the sale of \u201cLocal\u201d plants, approximately 2,000 of which are dug and<br \/>donated from the gardens of Club members. Plants are also dug from the Club-maintained town gardens. Annuals, vegetables and pollinator plants are purchased through several local farms: Cucurbit Farm in Acton, Brigham Farm Stands and Greenhouses in Concord and Farms in Stow.<\/p>\n<p>Customers can take advantage of our Master Gardeners for answers to all their<br \/>gardening questions and visit our Resource Table for information on topics ranging<br \/>from Ticks, Garlic\u00a0Mustard and Managing\u00a0Invasive to Natives, Gardening Tips and<br \/>Membership.<\/p>\n<p>We have wagons available for you to collect your purchases and a holding area to hold<br \/>the plants you have selected while you go back for more. Credit cards are accepted for<br \/>payment.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"546\" height=\"409\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.actongardenclub.org\/staging\/5475\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/plantsale_2502.gif?resize=546%2C409\" alt=\"plant sale 2025\" class=\"wp-image-1983 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>The Annual Plant Sale is the primary fundraiser for the Acton Garden Club. Proceeds of the Plant Sale support our community, through scholarships for<br>graduating ABHS seniors, maintenance of town gardens and planters, and educational programs for the community and club members.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Annual Plant Sale is an all-hands-on-deck, Club-wide, total membership event<br>where every volunteer, including the children and spouses of club members, are needed<br>and appreciated. Digging, potting, sorting, pricing, watering, selling, cashiering, setting<br>up and cleaning up require countless hours by our dedicated members.
