Seasonal plantings are provided and maintained throughout Acton. These include the Acton Town Hall Oval and planters, the troughs in both Acton Center and West Acton, the containers along Mass. Ave. in West Acton, The Citizen’s Library, the Acton Center Fire Station, and the Public Safety Facility. In total there are 19 containers, 2 troughs and the oval in front of Town Hall.

There are four seasonal plantings each year. The spring plantings generally feature pansies and pussy willows. The summer plantings feature bright annuals and ivy. In fall, we replace the spent annuals with mums or decorative kales. In mid November, the seasonal plants are removed and replaced with winter greens which are generously donated by garden club members. The winter greens carry us through spring.
